Go to the Admin Panel and select the tag "Settings".
Go towards the bottom of the page in the section "Alerts & notices to staff": Here you can enable the messages for the staff.
You can choose to send alert for a new ticket to the Administrators, to the Department Manager or to Department Members. This is what you can do.
Unfortunately this is not possible.
You can however send other messages to the author of the ticket: Use the "Post reply" tag inside of the ticket.
Or, as usual, you can modify the code :)
